How to learn in first grade: We must pay attention to learning new words

Yesterday, a parent left a message saying that he was accompanying his first-grade child to learn Chinese and what should he do if he didn’t know how to do it? In fact, parents only need to be more caring people, pay more attention to the content design of Chinese textbooks, buy some teaching aids and teaching aids, study more, and research more. In this way, it is not difficult to interpret the first-grade textbook. In short, don\’t be too anxious. Just learn with your child and make progress together with an empty cup mentality. In addition, I will regularly update the important and difficult content of each lesson preview. Today I would like to talk to you about the learning of new words which is very important for children in first grade. -01 \”Chinese Curriculum Standards\” requires the following requirements for literacy and writing in first and second grade students: 1. Like to learn Chinese characters and have the desire to take the initiative to read and write. 2. Recognize about 1,600 commonly used Chinese characters, and be able to write about 800 of them. 3. Master the basic strokes and commonly used radicals of Chinese characters, and be able to write with a hard pen according to basic stroke order rules. 4. Learn to read independently. Able to recognize and read Chinese characters with the help of Chinese Pinyin. The approximately 1,600 commonly used Chinese characters mentioned here are the total number of new characters that first and second grade students need to master. About 800 of them are the total number of second-category words that first and second graders need to master. There is a writing list (100 words) on page p118 of the first-grade Chinese textbook. The writing list here is a summary of the first-class words in each text, and it is also the amount of first-grade words that need to be mastered. There is a literacy list (300 new words) on p115-p117 of the Chinese textbook. The literacy table is a summary of the second-class characters in each text, and it is also the amount of second-class characters that need to be mastered in the first volume of first grade. The requirements for Category I characters are: being able to read, write, and memorize new characters correctly and write the pinyin corresponding to the new characters, and be able to form words and sentences flexibly. The requirements for Category 2 characters are: they can be read correctly. –02Why do I say that vocabulary learning for first- and second-grade students is very important? First, the first- and second-grade test papers test students’ vocabulary in a relatively large proportion. For example, reading the pinyin and writing words; forming words; filling in the blanks according to the text content, etc. are all tests of word mastery. Second, many children make a lot of typos when they reach the fifth or sixth grade. This is because the first and second grade students do not have a firm grasp of Chinese characters. For example, in the graduation exam for primary school students to junior high school, the test paper is very difficult, and the basic part itself is very small. If you deduct 2 or 3 points because of typos, it will be very painful. Third, words are needed to write sentences, words are needed to write paragraphs, and words are needed to write essays. The learning of new words is to lay a solid foundation for children to make sentences and write words later. Only by laying a solid foundation of words can we build tall buildings. Therefore, we must pay attention to the recognition and reading of first-grade words and the correct writing of new words. –03How to learn new characters of Type I and Type II characters? Four steps; ·The first step is to read the pronunciation of these new words with the help of Pinyin; now that all Pinyin has been learned, the next step is to use Pinyin flexibly. Here, the initial ability to read new words needs to meet the following standards. 1. Be able to correctly read words with pinyin; 2. Remove the pinyin and be able to read the word correctly; ·The second step is to use a variety of methods to allow children to correctly read new words; you can look at the pinyin and read the word correctly.Pronunciation of words correctly does not mean mastery. The pinyin can be removed and the pronunciation can be correct. In addition, new words can be correctly read and distinguished when mixed with similar words. This is the true mastery of new words. Of course, learning new words simply by rote memorization is not enough. You need to master some skills. ◾Plus one plus. For example, le + one horizontal line = child, human plus one horizontal line = big, insect + soil + soil = frog. Li + eight = do it, day + ten = early. ◾Minus one minus. For example, Wang-yi = earth, Tai-, = big, Lai-yi = meter, Qu-| = cloud, Yong-| = month. ◾Change it. Friends-you+month=yes, day-one+|=中. ◾Change radicals for familiar words. (This will be covered in the second volume of the first grade) Jiang – Hong, Qing – Qing, Miao – Chao. ◾guess the word. For example, three people watch the sunset (spring). There is an opening in the T-shaped belly (yes). A sun grew out of the soil. (Li) ◾Oracle bone inscriptions evolved into literacy. For example, bird, the bird in oracle bone inscriptions, is like a bird drawn. Through continuous evolution, it has become today\’s regular script character – bird. Another example is Hugh. It means Hugh when a person is resting next to a tree. It can also be imagined as a person resting next to a tree. Hugh is Hugh. ◾Make actions to strengthen literacy. For example, do the actions of \”looking\” and \”speaking\” to understand reading and speaking. ◾Use word cards to consolidate literacy. Parents can make word cards that will teach them how to read the words in this lesson (there are many blank cardboard loose-leaf sheets with loose-leaf rings on the Internet, which are very convenient to use), and make a semester-long lesson plan based on the literacy tables and vocabulary tables at the back of the Chinese textbook. Word cards for first-class words and second-class words, play literacy games with children every day before going to bed to strengthen their memory. ◾Learn words in life. Parents should be more attentive. The street signs on both sides of the road, shop names, and subway station signs all have new words that children have just learned. Playing store name games with children on the way to pick them up from school can strengthen children\’s literacy. ·The third step is to write a type of character correctly; a type of character requires the pronunciation, structure, radical, meaning, stroke order, and several strokes to form a word. All must be analyzed clearly. The test paper will also test words written in Pinyin, word combinations, stroke order, number of strokes, and which stroke is which. This must be mastered in detail. Therefore, when writing, you need to \”look at three things\”: first, look at how many strokes the character has, second, look at how the strokes are used, and third, look at the key strokes. In addition, you should practice writing before writing. For example, \”big\” writing. You can extend the index finger of your right hand and say the stroke order while writing. (One stroke horizontal, two strokes, three strokes, big, big, big) In this way, the stroke order of the characters in the empty space can be corrected, and the number of strokes of the characters can also be known.) Writing needs to be: standardized (written correctly), correct ( These three criteria are good (well written) and neat (cleanly written). ·The fourth step is to be able to write or dictate a new word. How do you know that your child has mastered a new vocabulary? Dictation is the best way to check. If the child passes the dictation test, there is no need for the child to copy new words repeatedly. –Written at the end: The Chinese language class is only 40 minutes long, with a lot of content and a large capacity. After class, the teacher will assign some oral homework, such as finding friends for new words. Children will also be asked to do copying and dictation tasks. Parents must pay attention to every task after class, which is to lay the foundation for their children\’s Chinese learning. In addition, if you find that your child is dictating new words,If you make more mistakes, copy the mistakes a few more times, dictate again, and repeat this process over and over again, and your child will master it better and better. First-grade students can master vocabulary by reading more, practicing more and writing more. Learning is a repetitive thing that requires deliberate practice.
