What time is appropriate for first graders to do homework in the evening?

Last night, because Dabao finished her homework until 11 o\’clock and was still awake, I yelled at her while urging her to pack her things and go to bed. After yelling, I regretted it. After closing the door to the child\’s room, I sat on the small bench at the door and thought for a long time. I want to figure out, why is this happening? First, the expectations placed on the child exceed the child\’s ability. I have talked with my child about daily schedules every night. I hope she can complete 1-2 assignments at school and not leave all her assignments until she gets home at night. She must turn off the lights and go to bed at 9:30 every night. If there are online classes, she must go to bed at 10:30. sleep. But the reality is that after I come home from get off work every day, Dabao is always sitting at her study table, but she rarely finishes her homework before 10:30. The reason for my slow writing is that on the one hand, I really don’t pay enough attention to it mentally and have no sense of goals; on the other hand, I lack time awareness; and on the other hand, it is true that the subjects in junior high school have become more difficult, especially mathematics, and the knowledge points are not firmly grasped. She still needs to be encouraged to have the awareness of competing for excellence and consolidate her knowledge through exercises, sorting out wrong questions, etc. Secondly, worry too much about your children. After the eldest son entered junior high school, he basically went to bed at 11 o\’clock and woke up at 6 o\’clock. He slept less than 8 hours a day. I was worried about the impact on the child\’s health, so every night after putting the second child to sleep, I came to urge the eldest son to hurry up. She was sleeping, so it was inevitable that she would complain about her slow movements, which would lead to conflicts. In fact, I obviously cared about the child, but I don\’t know why it ended up yelling at her. Yesterday, my child said to me, Mom, can you let me decide on these small details of life and stop worrying about me. In fact, what she said makes sense. I think I should really let go more. Perhaps the harm to the body of going to bed late is not as harmful as the harm of me yelling at her before going to bed. In addition, they always focus on the children\’s shortcomings and do not know how to appreciate the children. We always say that her emotional intelligence is low, which is true compared to the second child. Perhaps because her family has given her too much attention since she was a child, and she has taken care of the trivial matters in life, the child lacks the ability to think from the perspective of others and encounter problems. The question is a bit edgy. But overall I am quite sensible, I love my sister very much, I know how to care about my parents, and I am generous and polite in dealing with others. Although I write my homework slowly, I do not reject it. Looking back, when I was a child, apart from not having to worry about my parents when I was studying, I was actually not as good as her in many aspects. Keep up the good work, work hard with your children, there will be times when you can ride the wind and waves, and sail directly to the sea.
